MATH 316: Introduction to Lie Groups

Course Description:

The aim  of this course is to introduce the basic concepts of Lie group theory to undergraduate students -- all done at the concrete level of matrix groups.  Graduate students can also take the course for credits.  (More detailed description: click here.)

Grading:

The grades of the course are based on the following numerical grades: (i) Homework (60%); (ii) Midterm project (20%); (iii) Final project (20%).
