Interference with other people's right to listen and study will not be tolerated. Therefore: turn off all pagers and telephones; no chatting. If you are late, walk promptly and quietly to the most conveniently accessible seat.

No distant discussion	1st warning; 2nd invited out of the room
No prolonged discussion	1st warning; 2nd invited out of the room
Discussion too loud	1st warning; 2nd invited out of the room

Definitions:

'discussion' -- Q & A on class materials with immediate neighbors

'immediate neighbor' -- the next person on the left-side or on the right side, on the same row

'distant discussion' -- discussion with a person not in the immediate neighborhood

'prolonged' -- more than a few sentences

'too loud' -- the sound can be heard by the instructor
