Program Transfer (For Non-MATH Students)

Application Procedures:

• Step 1 : Please consult MATH UG Coordinator, Dr. Tsz Kin LAM, in Rm.3435 or via email tklam@ust.hk.

• Step 2 : Please submit the following documents to Ms. Sindy Ting in MATH general office Rm.3461.
  • Application for Program Transfer Form (Please click HERE to download)
  • Copy of transcript (i.e. *HKUST, or other institutes)
  • Copy of public examination results (i.e.,*HKCEE and *HKAL or HKDSE)
    * Please print out from the UST Intranet.


• Remarks:
1. The application will be collected comments from MATH UG Studies (Operational) Subcommittee Members. The final decision will be determined by MATH UG Coordinator and Head of Department.
2. Result of the program transfer request will be sent to the applicant via email.
3. For successful case, the department will send to ARR the applicant's program transfer application form.
4. A confirmation of approval letter will be sent to the applicant' s corresponding address by ARR.

• Step 3 : After receipt of the confirmation letter from ARR, the applicant should complete Form GR23 (for 4- year degree) if deviation from curriculum is required. The form should be submitted to Ms. Sindy Ting in MATH general office Rm.3461.

1. Students should note that program transfer may cause a delay in their academic study progress.
2. Normally, the transfer, if approved, will NOT be effected until the following semester.
3. The department will determine what course credits to transfer from the student’s former program to our program.
